"Ever since I can remember, I have been drawing and painting. My first documented drawing, at the age of 3 1/2, actually won the weekly prize in the kids’ corner of a local newspaper. It was called “A boy walking his dog in the grass. Also a bird in a tree.” As I grew up, my sisters and I took great delight in drawing, especially pictures of families. Art lessons with a local artist, Huber King, at age 10, launched my formal art pursuit, which continued through high school and into college, where I studied graphic design and illustration, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. I worked in the commercial art world for several years before pursuing a career as a stay-at-home mother. Art took a backseat for a few decades until they flew from the nest. Now I am happily pursuing my first interest: making paintings of things that I love: nature, animals, people, flowers, food, landscapes, as well as whimsical illustrations. I like to work in many different mediums, including watercolor, colored pencil, pastel, oils, acrylics, and graphite. I hope viewing my colorful, detailed artwork brings you joy! If you are interested in commissioning me for a painting, please email me at dianefuchsart@gmail.com."

Diane grew up in Ohio, but moved to Texas in 1979. She and her husband live in Frisco where they raised four children (who now live in four different states) and are proud grandparents to five grandchildren.
